The school day at Oriel is set out below. The school day ends at 2.40pm, 6 hours 20 minutes long equating to 31 hours 40 minutes across the school week. However many students take advantage of extra curricular activities provided between 2.40pm – 3.40pm
8.20am – 8.30am – Morning registration (Mentor Groups)
8.30am – 9.30am – Period 1
9.30am – 10.30am – Period 2
10.30am – 10.45am – Morning Break
10.45am – 11.45am – Period 3
11.45am – 12.45pm – Period 4
12.45pm – 1.20pm – Lunch Break
1.20pm – 1.40pm – Afternoon Registration (Mentor Groups)
1.40pm – 2.40pm – Period 5
2.40pm – 3.40pm – Enrichment Hour (optional extra curricular activities)
Assembly
Assembly is held once per week for each Learning Community. These take place during afternoon registration 1.20pm – 1.40pm. The Assembly days for each Learning Community are as follows.

AMERICA’S – Wednesday
ASIA – Thursday
AUSTRALASIA – Friday
Travel to school using the Bus
The 100 service drops off and picks up in Maidenbower near to school. This service connects with other bus routes that serve other areas of the town and surrounding areas.
All other connecting routes can be viewed on the Metrobus website. Metrobus publish and update their routes often.
