We are celebrating today with our Year 13 students, not just because of their results, but because of who they are and the values that they represent both individually and collectively. Some of our students will be delighted with the grades that they have been awarded whilst others will be disappointed that the algorithm used by the examination boards has let them down, but what remains the case is that they have demonstrated a sense of fortitude and resilience that is second to none in these challenging times. They have also shown a level of consideration and compassion for each other that makes us feel extremely proud of them all. This is the cohort most adversely affected by the pandemic, but they have not allowed it to define them; they are so much more than a set of results. They are remarkable young ladies and gentleman that we feel very fortunate and proud to have in our school and we all wish them every happiness and success for the future.
