Take part in the ‘Virtual’ Sussex School Games

Week 11 – Old Skool Sports Day

For the final time this summer term, a new sport, including four physical or technical sporting personal challenges were launched on Monday morning.

You can practice, train and improve during the week, before submitting your best scores in each challenge online at www.sussexschoolgames.co.uk, ahead of the 12.00pm Friday deadline each week. You do not have to post your challenge videos online, unless you want to of course; if you do, and want them to be shared by Sussex School Games, tag them with #SussexSchGames

This week’s sport is Old Skool Sports Day; the four challenge videos can be found here:

The four accompanying challenge task cards can be found here:

Of the different leader boards for scoring, we believe that the Spirit of the Games Award for most participants is the most important, as we want to get as many of you as possible active and involved in the challenges each week. Oriel has ranked 1st in Crawley for all ten weeks so far, and ranked 9th in Sussex last week; we want to retain top spot in Crawley, and to climb the table in Sussex!

Participation in the ‘Virtual’ Sussex School Games is not solely open to students, it’s for the whole community; teachers, parents, carers, family-members, alumni and friends of Oriel can all get involved and represent Oriel, so please encourage the older members of your family/friends that you may have to take part too.
